Three grounds
Panama is narrow enough to fish the Pacific in the morning and eat on the Caribbean side the next night. These are the three places worth the flight time.
A jungle coast with no road to it. The seamount offshore rises out of deep water two miles from the beach, and it's long been claimed to hold more record billfish than anywhere on this coast. Camp is a lodge on the sand and nothing else for sixty miles.
A protected archipelago and, forty miles off it, a submerged mountain that concentrates bait and everything that eats it. Big yellowfin, cubera on the rock piles, and reef worth a mask. Base at Boca Chica or live aboard for the week.
Two hours from the causeway and the city is gone. Two hundred–odd islands, most of them empty. Inshore fishing in the morning, anchor up and swim in the afternoon — the one that works when half the group doesn't fish.

Week beforeDriver to Flamenco or Albrook, bags aboard, permits and park fees already paid. You step on the boat and it goes.
Morning ofOn the water
Owner-operated and vetted in person. Captains hold Panamanian licences and carry full passenger cover — we'll send you the paperwork if you ask.
Roosterfish and snapper along the rocks, island hopping, quick runs to Taboga. Shade top, cooler, live well. The fast, light option.
The bank and the seamounts. Fighting chair, teaser reels, full tackle, air-conditioned cabin and head for the run out at dawn.
Pearl Islands weekends, canal transits, evenings in the bay. Crew of four, tender and toys, galley that can feed twelve properly.
What it costs
Boat rates are per day, whether two of you fish or six. Camps are per angler because the lodge charges that way.

Longer camps, mixed groups where half fish and half don't, corporate weeks. Priced properly once we know the party.
Nothing gets added at the dock. Fuel, crew, bait, tackle, food and park fees are in the price. A 30% deposit holds the date and the balance is due the day before. Cancel more than fourteen days out and the deposit moves to another date; inside fourteen days we keep it, unless the port closes for weather — then you choose a new date or take it back. Fish are released unless we're keeping one for the kitchen; billfish always go back.
